TUI is proud to announce that its Caribbean and African employee network group, TUI CAN, has won the “Most Impactful Employee Resource Group in Hospitality Travel and Leisure” award at the Women in Hospitality, Travel and Leisure (WiHTL) and Diversity in Retail Inclusion Awards.
TUI CAN’s mission is to celebrate African and Caribbean heritage, provide safe spaces for discussion, and promote inclusion. Highlights of its achievements include launching TUI Airways’ first all-Black and mixed-heritage crewed flight, enhancing cultural representation across TUI’s internal and customer-facing activities, and organising successful Black History Month events. This award celebrates TUI CAN’s dedication to fostering an inclusive culture, engaging employees and driving innovative DEI initiatives that impact both TUI and the wider community.
TUI’s Wellbeing and Inclusion Lead Miranda Simms said: “We’re honoured to receive this recognition from WiHTL. TUI CAN embodies our commitment to diversity and creating a community that celebrates and supports our people. This award reflects the passion and purpose of every TUI CAN member, whose efforts are driving meaningful change within TUI and beyond.”
